Handling Tough Questions with Dave Treat

Page 1

At some point, every small group leader will be asked a question they don't know the answer to. In this short clip, David Treat, the Discipleship Pastor at Friendship Church in Athens, AL, offers practical advice on how to deal with difficult questions. See if you can jot down the steps as you watch this clip.

Think of how you've handled tough questions in the past. Dave mentioned several good ways to deal with tough questions:

  • Confirm they asked a great question.
  • Admit you don't have the answer, but will get back to them.
  • Make sure you've really listened and understand the question.
  • Find the answer (ask someone else, study, look it up, etc.).
  • Get back to them.

In which of these areas above are you the strongest? Which ones can you improve on?
