Revelation 3:7-8 (ESV)

To the Church in Philadelphia

7“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.

8“‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

In his message, John acknowledged that open doors get romanticized—that we tend to think only about  big, life-changing opportunities as open doors. But open doors are not mostly romantic, but about following Jesus. Being an open door person means being a disciple of Chris. It means sticking close to Him and His Word. It means being obedient when God puts opportunities in front of you. So pay attention, look for God's open doors. Pray for God's open doors, learning from the small doors and preparing for the big ones.
