Have you ever had a tough time finding someone to step into a leadership role at your church? From staff positions to small group leaders, every church has positions of leadership to fill at one point in time or another. He is also author of numerous books, including Exponential: How You and Your Friends Can Start a Missional Church Movement

When every person at every level of your church has an apprentice—every staff person, every small group leader, every Sunday school teacher—you have a ready supply of leaders in waiting, available to step-in and fill roles when needed. Not only that, you have a pipeline for multiplication. Through apprenticeship two small groups can become four, which can become eight. It's this type of multiplication that allowed the gospel to spread from Jerusalem, to Judea, to Samaria—and God willing—to the ends of the earth.
