Why the God-Man?

2011 Ligonier Conference

In this 64-minute session from the 2011 Ligonier National Conference, Sinclair Ferguson explains what it means to confess our faith in Jesus, who is fully God and fully man, and what it means that He was crucified for our sins. Sinclair is a prolific author and renown theologian. He serves as Professor of Systematic Theology at Redeemer Seminary in Dallas, TX.

Take a moment and read through Sinclair's text from this session again, Hebrews 1:1–4 and 2:5–3:1.

Sinclair observed that much of the Christian literature produced today is about "fixing my needs," books that encourage people to focus on themselves rather than focus on Jesus. What do you think this says about us as Christians?

Consider Jesus.
