Conquer Your Energy Drainers

Identifying the Drainers

Dr. Jennifer Degler is a psychologist, author and the founder of the organization CWives. In this training, she talks to mothers about the huge amount of stress that affects most of us. Yes, we are pulled in a hundred directions, and all of these drain our energy, but there are some steps we can take to productively handle all of your energy drainers.

Jennifer has given us eight areas of life that will drain our energy. Every one has the potential for a lot of good, but they can also drain our energy and overwhelm us. In each of these areas, ask yourself what you have put off doing. Think about all of the needs (not "shoulds"), stressors and to-do's that keep draining your energy.

In all of these ideas, and with any other strategy you may employ, the most important thing you can do is listen to the Holy Spirit. Don't stop praying and asking for godly discernment. Trust in and lean on the Lord because He is the best cure for all your energy drainers.
