It is the role of a church planting pastor to lead people in carrying out the mission of the church. Every week, pastors everywhere cast the vision to equip and unleash congregations into their communities to make an impact for Christ. But take a humorous look at what could happen if you let the vision leak?

Don't let vision leak!  What vision are you casting about the mission of the church? 

Rick Blackwood serves as the Senior Pastor of Christ Fellowship in Miami, Florida, a large and growing multicultural congregation comprised of more than seventy nationalities in a city where 93% claim to have no relationship with God. Rick shares what is important for church planters to know and do to be effective in reaching a city for Christ.

Rick talked about three important areas for church planters to develop:
  1. Articulate the Word of God
  2. Cast Vision
  3. Recruit People 

Rick said that "one thing that cuts across all cultures and to all people is Scripture. How competent do you feel in communicating the gospel in a relevant way? Do you tend to only preach topically? How could you increase your competency in preaching expositionally?
