Fred Luter is the Senior Pastor of New Orleans' Franklin Avenue Baptist Church and President of the Southern Baptist Convention, and he is also a husband and father who makes his family his number one ministry. In this training post, he reminds ministry leaders to always make a high priority of their families.



The work of ministry can be overwhelming. It often pulls us in so many directions at once that we can forget our first priorities or even neglect our families.

Ask God to help you make your own family your primary ministry. Making priorities in ministry can be difficult, but don't neglect the great gift of your spouse and children, and make sure that your congregation knows where your family stands.
