Is there truly such a thing as balance? Our schedules are so overcrowded with work, appointments, church events, and family time that the thought of balance seems a bit far-fetched. In this video, Donnie Smith, the former CEO of Tyson Foods will share his thoughts on reasonable balance is and what his personal goal for balance looks like.




Sometimes in order achieve some semblance of balance in our week, we have to be intentional about taking things one day at a time and figuring out what our priorities are. God is in control, and when we give over our schedules and stay dedicated to protecting our time with family, then God can make sure that everything else stays in line.

Life is always going to needs some adjusting, so we should go into the week giving our schedules to the Lord. Our main priority should be to work hard and protect the time we need to invest in our spouse and families at home. Life is about finding a way to ride the rhythm, not achieving perfect balance. As you work through your schedule, think about how you can assign rest as a key component throughout your week.
