Leading "Bold" Teen Guy Bible Study Featuring Joby Martin

"Bold" Teen Guy Bible Study Featuring Joby Martin

You can find the Bold Teen Guy Bible study series on RightNow Media, here

In Bold, a 4-part video Bible study series, Joby Martin uses Scripture to teach teen guys that their desires to be bold are not without a purpose. They were made to play a part in God’s redemptive work in the world. They were created to live courageously for the cause of God’s Kingdom. God has empowered guys to live a life of boldness—in their faith, with their words, to share the truth, and through prayer. Because our God is so powerful, young men who follow Christ can—and must—live boldly in the world.

Watch this trailer for an overview of the series.

Joby Martin is the Lead Pastor of The Church of Eleven22 in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to his current role, he served as Student Pastor at Jacksonville’s Beach Church for four years, which went on to help launch Eleven22. In addition to his pastoral duties, Joby is part of the Exponential church planting conferences, Sticky Team conferences, Velocity church planting conference, and is active in the Acts 29 Network. He and his wife, Gretchen, have two children.

Listen to Joby’s encouragement for you as you lead this series.

Joby reminded leaders of the incredible truth that it starts with us. As we lead young men through this Bold study, we need to be the ones embodying bold faith, speaking bold words, standing on bold truth, and praying big, bold, audacious prayers for our students.

At the beginning of each session, your students will experience dramatic or funny illustrations to ease into the topic. In this funny clip, an explorer makes three (not so) bold wishes.

In each session, you’ll also hear from a student who has discovered what it means to be bold. Watch Cole’s story about bold faith.

To help you teach, you will use the downloadable Leader’s Guide and group handouts available online to further explore the teaching from the video. Take some time in advance to consider the Bible study questions and come up with personal examples to encourage discussion among your students.

As teen guys grow and mature in their walk with the Lord, God will shape them into men who embody bold faith, speak bold words, stand upon bold truth, and pray bold prayers.
