Disciple a Generation

IF:Gathering 2017

In this 26-minute session, founder Jennie Allen urges us to change our strategy: instead of going big and building platforms, we need to go small and build disciples. God works through the small, the quiet, and the obscure.

Jennie Allen is an author, speaker, Bible teacher, and Founder of the IF:Gathering, a uniquely practical Christian conference which gathers, equips, and unleashes women to live out their purpose.  She has authored several books and Bible studies, including Stuck: The Places We Get Stuck and the God Who Sets Us Free, Chase: Chasing After the Heart of God, Anything: The Prayer that Unlocked my God and my Soul, and Restless: Because You Were Made for More.

Which of Jennie’s points did you find most impactful? Why?

We must read our Bibles more than we read the news. We must build our local churches more than followings. We must trust God more than we try to control our lives. We must be on closet floors more than on social media. And we must choose the small rather than crave the big. Through life-on-life discipleship, the gospel changes the world.
