Taming the Tongue

Sparrow Conference 2017

Words matter. God has chosen to reveal Himself in words, and we will give an account for every careless word we have spoken. In this session from the 2017 Sparrow Conference, author and Bible teacher Jen Wilkin reminds us that our words have the power to heal or to destroy.

Jen Wilkin is a speaker, writer, and teacher of women’s Bible studies. She has a background in women’s ministry, and has organized and led studies for women in home, church, and parachurch contexts. Jen is the author of Women of the Word: How to Study the Bible with Both Our Hearts and Our Minds and None Like Him. Jen and her husband have four children and live in Flower Mound, Texas.

As you watch this session, take notes and write down thoughts about how this session can impact your ministry.

From the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. We must take care that our words reflect the One who has saved us.
