Favoritism and Faith

Sparrow Conference 2017

We’re all inclined to show bias and display favoritism. But favoritism runs in direct opposition to our faith. We can’t love and serve anyone that we believe we’re better than. In this session from the 2017 Sparrow Conference, Jada Edwards, author and Creative Services Director at One Community Church, opens James 2 and reminds us that Jesus Christ is the Lord of Glory—we are just the beneficiaries.

Jada Edwards is a speaker, Bible teacher, and mentor. She currently serves as the Creative Services Director for One Community Church, where she seeks to serve the evolving nearby communities through creative expression and cultural relevance. Jada is the author of The Captive Mind: Evicting Old Thinking To Experience New Life. She holds a Master of Business Administration. Jada and her husband, Conway, have two children and live in the Dallas area.

If our faith is real, we must act on it. Each day we must live the evidence of our life change.
