Page 1

Have you ever wondered how someone becomes a great leader? In the Just 3 Questions series, we’ve asked some of today’s top leaders three simple questions about leadership.

Steve Stroope is the Lead Pastor at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, TX. In this first video, he answers, “Who is the best leader you have ever sat under and why were they so good?”

Steve mentioned several things about his pastor that he felt contributed to his success as a leader. He said that his pastor:

  • gave clear objectives
  • delegated and empowered those who worked for him
  • defined the parameters of freedom
  • gave great feedback
  • and was generous with praise.

Take a moment to think about that list. Are there areas here that you are currently excelling at? Which ones? Does this list give you any ideas on ways that you can improve? How?
