Advancing the Common Good

Q Talks

Jesus could have done anything He wanted before His ascension to heaven. He chose to use his last days on earth to pour into His disciples. In this 10-minute session from the Q Talks,  pastor and speaker Jon Tyson walks through the appearances of Jesus after the resurrection to show practical implications for the church today.

Jon is the Founder and Lead Pastor of Trinity Grace Church, a family of eleven neighborhood churches called parishes that network together for the common good and renewal of the city. He is also the Co-Founder of the Center for City Renewal, an organization equipping and empowering Christian citizens to participate in God's redemptive mission throughout New York City.

Which of Jon’s points did you find most impactful? Why?

Jesus didn't waste His last days on earth. He intentionally poured into His disciples and readied them for the mission ahead. As you reflect on Jesus' final days, ask Him to show you how you've been like His disciples. Maybe you have doubts, unconfessed sin, or pain from the past. Pray for renewal as you surrender your burdens to Him.
