Hope in Suffering

IF:Gathering 2016

In this 26-minute session, speaker and author Rebekah Lyons interviews Larissa Murphy and Katherine Wolf about the struggles they've endured. They offer unique insight into how to approach grief and suffering.

Rebekah Lyons is a speaker and the author of Freefall to Fly: A Breathtaking Journey Toward a Life of Meaning

Larissa Murphy is a speaker and  co-author of Eight Twenty Eight with her husband, Ian. In their book they reflect on their journey of love and faith after Ian suffered traumatic brain injury and they decided to pursue marriage.

Katherine Wolf is an author and speaker. In 2008, Katherine’s life nearly ended with a catastrophic stroke. Miraculously, she survived and continues her recovery to this day. Katherine and her husband, Jay, have shared their journey of whole-hearted living and hope in Christ in many forums since 2008.

The way we walk through suffering should reflect Christ—who endured immense pain and remained faithful to the Father to the end. If you're in a difficult time, take time to rest this week. Read the Psalms and cry out to God. If you're in between trials, reflect on all God has brought you through and praise Him.
