At first, Troy found that numbers were a huge motivator for ministry, but over time they began to lose influence. What became a lasting influence were the central values of the church and its commitment to a culture of pursuing Christ. Consider how you attempt to motivate your people. Look for opportunities to remind them of the essentials and allow God to use those as fuel for the work He has placed before your church.
