2010 Leadership Network Aha! Online Experience

Leadership Network's AHA! online experience includes 40 exceptional leaders sharing their "Aha!" moments—those moments when the light bulb went on with a critically important idea or realization. In this 7-minute video from the 2010 AHA! experience, Mac Lake shares how he moved his church from a program-oriented approach to a people-oriented approach to leadership development. Mac is the Visionary Architect for The Launch Network, a church planting network based out of West Ridge Church in the Atlanta area. As you watch this session, take notes and consider how it can impact your leadership.

Mac listed several drawbacks of a program-oriented approach to leadership development: distance, busyness, timing, relational loyalty, self-selected leadership, and an artificial learning environment. He moved to a people-oriented approach by empowering current leaders to raise up and mentor new leaders. Consider what this could look at your church.
