Every church program has a stakeholder—someone invested in its ongoing influence. But there are times when doing away with programs is essential for the life of a church. Pastors need to be bold in these times to remove those programs that siphon energy from the church's vision with respect for those involved in them. Consider the various programming of your ministry. Identify those programs that don't contribute to true disciple-making and take steps to alter their purpose or cut them altogether.
