No Specific Strategy

The Nines Conference 2014

When it comes to homosexuality, there is no single strategy the church can employ for effective ministry. Rather, the focus ought to be on loving the gay community and introducing them to the truth of the gospel. Singling out homosexuality as a grievous sin instead of casting it within the wider discussion of human brokenness ostracizes the gay community. As Leonce said, when the church shows a willingness to love and listen, people will come and if we are faithful to preach the gospel God will bring about change. As you think about those in your life engaging in homosexuality, take the time to invest in them as people. Show them that you love them and trust God to provide you with the opportunities to invite them into the hope offered in Jesus Christ.
