What Does it Mean to be Missional?

Leadership Network 2014 Innovations Conference

In this 24-minute session, Reggie McNeal, Missional Leadership Specialist for Leadership Network, defines a missional church as a church that joins in the work that God is already doing in the world. He encourages us to be the hands and feet that usher in the Kingdom of God.

In this 6-minute follow up interview from 2014, Reggie talks about how the missional movement is gaining ground in churches and organizations.

Which of the Reggie’s points in the first talk did you find most impactful? Why? What stood out to you about his follow up video? Why?

Being missional does not mean beginning a new work or introducing God to your context. God is already moving all over the world. To be missional is to obey His command to join Him in His work. Pray for opportunities for you and your church to come alongside what God is doing in your town or city.
