Jesus and Money

The Gospel Coalition Conference 2013

In this 50-minute session, Stephen Um, the senior minister of Citylife Presbyterian Church in Boston, Massachusetts and author of The Kingdom of God: Why Cities Matter, teaches from Luke 16 about money. We can tend to ignore the sin of greed as it crops up in our lives. Stephen helps us think rightly about money—not overvaluing it, but using it for the glory of God.

Money is dangerous because it can become our security, master and lover. Rather than allow money to steal your heart and dominate your life, keep a right perspective. Jesus challenges us to use the money that God gives us for the benefit of His Kingdom. Recognize the temptation of greed, and, instead, trust God with your resources.
