For Such a Time as This

2014 The Gospel At Work Conference

In this 60-minute session, J.D. Greear deals with three points that help answer the question, “Why are we here?” We experience the brokenness of sin at work, our workplaces make up one of the greatest untapped mission fields in the world, and the gospel spreads fastest on the wings of business. J.D. is the senior pastor of The Summit Church in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina, published author of several books on the spiritual life, and teaches as a faculty member of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Whether we’ve been in the business world for five years or fifty, it’s important that we understand why we work. J.D. has unpacked for us three reasons that the workplace is one of the greatest opportunities for us to expand the kingdom of God, and why we can use our work to bring glory to God. Why are we here? We’re here to work, and see God’s reputation grow.
