It's Time to Rest | 2:56

Are you wrapped up in the chaos of life? When God created the earth, “he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done” (Genesis 2:2). If the God of the universe took time to rest, we should follow His example and reserve time to slow down and breathe.

Rest. Breathe. Listen to the God who loves you and wants you to rest in Him.

Peter told the Christians in exile in 1 Peter 2:12 to “keep [their] conduct among the Gentiles honorable” so the unbelievers could see God’s goodness in them and glorify Him. What does your life say about the One you serve? Your life should communicate the gospel, not just your words. 

Do excellent work at home, work, or school. Love the people around you. Proclaim the gospel through your words and actions.

Our parents sacrificed a lot for us, even if we didn’t realize it as kids. God commands us to “honor your father and mother” (Exodus 20:12). What does it look like to honor your parents in every season of life? Respect. Love. Gratitude. Service. 

Tell your parents how much they mean to you today. Thank your heavenly Father for them and for adopting you into His family. 

Jesus Didn’t Call You to a Recliner | 2:58

God doesn’t make room for laziness in His kingdom. He tasks us with obedience to Him and service to others. When Paul planted the church in Thessalonica, he “worked night and day” to set an example for the believers. Just as the early Christians, we should work hard at what God gives us to do and “not grow weary of doing good” (2 Thessalonians 3:6–13).  

What has God given to you to do today? Flee laziness. Work hard and work well. 

Live a Life Worth Following | 3:52

After Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, he said to them, “for I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you” (John 13:15). Jesus set an example of service to His disciples. Everywhere you go, people are watching you. What example are you setting? 

Parents, model Christ’s love to your kids. Bosses, lead your employees with excellence. Students, be full of integrity in your studies. Christians, set an example for other believers to follow.

Trade In Your Life | 1:41

It’s costly to follow Christ. But Jesus said, “whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for me sake will find it” (Matthew 10:39). Following Jesus will cost you your life, but what you lose is nothing compared to all you gain. Just like the great heroes of the faith, when you follow Jesus, you will find purpose, fulfillment, and joy.

Gear your life toward service to others. Focus on honoring God in each moment. Worship Him with your life.

You Have an Expiration Date | 2:14

What will last? Food rots, buildings crumble, and money runs out. Jesus entreats us to store up treasures in heaven because the things of this world will not endure. He says in Matthew 6:21, “for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” What do you treasure? Will it last?

Dare to invest in the eternal—in God, His Word, people. Pour yourself into what will last.

Stop Having An Identity Crisis | 1:46

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Jesus gives you a new identity when you follow Him. You are His—His child, His servant, His disciple. To find out who you are, look to Christ. He reconfigures your life and blesses you with a purpose.

Jesus determines your identity. Embrace your life as His follower. 

Stop Trying to “Find Yourself” | 2:29

Are you on a quest to “find yourself”? In Matthew 16:24, Jesus tells his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” Christians are called to lose themselves and live a life marked by the One who made us, who loves us, and who has a calling on our lives to be a part of something greater than ourselves. 

Are you willing to join God on His mission? There are people who need you, and a whole world that needs Jesus. 

No Such Thing as Ordinary | 2:47

Does your work feel ordinary? The truth is God’s telling a story of redemption, and He’s invited you to participate. Whatever you do, if you do it to honor Him, carries tremendous meaning. The Apostle Paul said it this way: “Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Cor. 10:31). With God, there is no such thing as ordinary—only an opportunity to show off our God. God uses us for His plans.

So work in all that you do with excellence. Who knows? He may use you today to be an answer to someone’s prayer.

God Wants You to Talk to Him | 2:30

What does it mean to be in relationship with God? Jesus blew open the way to God so you can now “with confidence draw near to the throne of grace” (Heb. 4:16). Your avenue to the throne of God is paved with prayer—simply talking to God.

Can you pray to God about anything? Yes. In fact, He wants to hear from you. He listens. He sees. You simply need to talk to Him.
