Originally hailing from Norwich, England, Sean Gladding makes his home in the US where he has served in various forms of pastoral ministry in Houston, Texas and Lexington, Kentucky. He's led a summer internship at Mercy Street, a church in Houston, Texas for people in recovery from addiction and from bad church experiences. He went on to coaster Mercy Street for seven years.
He speaks around the country on Scripture, addiction and recovery, and missional living. Sean is the author of The Story of God the Story of Us, Ten: Words of Life for an Addicted, Compulsive, Cynical, Divided and Worn-Out Culture, and Banned: Questions about Christians.
Sean and his wife, Rebecca have two children and live in Lexington, Kentucky, where they rejoined friends at Communality—part of the family of New Monastic communities—where they are seeking the welfare of the city.
