Jeff Van Duzer
Jeff Van Duzer is provost at Seattle Pacific University, with the responsibility for all aspects of the University that influence the student experience. Previously, Jeff served as dean of the SPU School of Business and Economics, and as professor of business ethics and business law. Under his leadership, the School opened its Center for Integrity in Business, launched the annual Social Venture Plan Competition, began an innovative new graduate program focused on social and sustainable business, secured its largest-ever gift, and grew its faculty. He also published a number of articles in academic and popular journals, and a book exploring the theology of business, Why Business Matters to God. He earned an undergraduate degree in rhetoric in 1976 from the University of California at Berkeley, and earned his JD from Yale Law School in 1979. Jeff and his wife, Margie, have two adult sons.
