Douglas Foster
Dr. Doug Foster is the director of the Center for Restoration Studies and an associate professor of church history in the Graduate School of Theology at Abilene Christian University. The Center for Restoration Studies Collection is housed at the Brown Library on the campus of Abilene Christian University.He has authored or co-authored over a dozen books including The Story of the Churches of Christ and Renewing Christian University with Gary Holloway and Mike Toulouse. His scholarly work has concentrated on the place of the Stone-Campbell Movement in American Christianity and the nature of the idea of Christian unity. He earned an M.A. at Scarritt College and a Ph.D. at Vanderbilt University. Doug and his wife, Linda, have two adult children.
