Dr. Leonard Sweet is the E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism at Drew University and a Visiting Distinguished Professor at George Fox University. Lenard previously served as Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Theological School at Drew University and as President and Professor of Church History at United Theological Seminary, where he currently serves as President Emeritus. He is a scholar and preacher.
Leonard earned his Master of Divinity degree from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School and his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester. He hosts the preaching website PreachTheStory.com and a podcast called Napkin Scribbles. ChurchReport Magazine voted him “One of the 50 Most Influential Christians in America." He is the best-selling author of more than fifty books including Jesus Manifesto, Tablet to Table, and We Are The Church. Lenard is a sought-after international speaker and a prominent voice in the Methodist community. Leonard lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wive, Elizabeth.
