Dr. Matthew Stanford, Ph.D., is a professor of psychology, neuroscience, and biomedical studies at Baylor University. His research on the interplay between psychology and issues of faith has been featured by Fox, The New York Times, USA Today, MSNBC, Yahoo, and U.S. News & World Report. Matthew is a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and the co-founder and executive director of the Grace Alliance, a non-profit that provides recovery programs, support groups, training, and collaborative partnerships to impact those affected by mental illness. He is the author of Grace for the Afflicted: A Clinical and Biblical Perspective on Mental Illness and The Biology of Sin: Grace, Hope and Healing for Those Who Feel Trapped. Matthew and his wife, Julie, have four children and live in Houston, Texas.
