Matt Chandler and The Hub have partnered together to write, film, and produce a brand new, updated curriculum of The Mingling of Souls- a study of love, dating, marriage, intimacy, and redemption based on Song of Solomon! All new from the ground up, your group will be able to enjoy this new video series and study guide in conjunction with Matt Chandler's new book The Mingling of Souls: God's Design for Love, Marriage, Sex & Redemption. In a culture where the foundations of attraction, love, marriage, and sex are rapidly eroding, Matt Chandler offers and eternal, counter-intuitive perspective from the biblical book Song of Solomon. Scripture says we're to nurture our hearts above all else- yet we are inundated with songs, movies, and advice that contradicts and cheapens God's design for love and intimacy.

Even the most mature believers face dark nights of the soul. During those times, God feels distant, His Word dry, and the vibrant intimacy we knew before seems absent leaving us wondering, “Where is the Lord in this?” In Psalm 119, pastor Matt Chandler aims to introduce viewers to the words of King David who experienced similar seasons of life. Serving as the anchor for the study, Psalm 119 demonstrates the power of God's Word in the lives of believers and its ability to provide a warm blanket for the soul.

Answering tough questions about God and Christianity

Why does God allow suffering and tragedy? Does science disprove Christianity? Is Jesus really the only way? Why are Christians so hypocritical? Christians throughout the ages have wrestled with questions like these, and chances are, so do you. Having faith isn't always easy. You may not always have the “winning” answer that makes you popular. Sometimes believing the Bible might make you feel like everyone's against you. But it's critical that you don't run from these types of questions.

In these four challenging sessions, students share real-life stories about their own struggles in coming to terms with what Scripture teaches about God, sin, creation and Jesus.

Matt Chandler provides powerful teaching from Scripture and helps teens understand why believing in God and the Bible is not only reasonable, but also essential. And that's what apologetics is all about. Knowing what you believe and why you believe it, and then being able to share with others why you think your beliefs are reasonable.

Matt Chandler Bio: Matt serves as Lead Pastor of Teaching at The Village Church in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Since he began in December 2002, the church has witnessed a tremendous response growing from 160 people to over 11,000 on four campuses.

Matt is also the president of Acts 29, a worldwide church-planting organization, and is involved in church planting efforts both locally and internationally. Matt speaks at conferences throughout the world and has authored two books, The Explicit Gospel and Creature of the Word.

His greatest joy outside of Jesus is being married to Lauren and being a dad to their three children, Audrey, Reid and Norah.

Learn to Confidently Teach Your Kids About God

Who is shaping what your kids believe?

In these busy, hectic days we take our kids to sports practices, games, music lessons, school tutoring and other activities to give our children the best opportunities for success. But what if we're missing the chance to teach them what matters most?

Our children can grow up smart, athletic, popular and polite but lack a vibrant relationship with Christ. The few hours they spend in church each week can be helpful, but it cannot nurture a faith in our kids that will withstand the trials that are on the horizon. Church alone cannot teach them, we must start at home. But many parents feel ill equipped to develop the faith of their children.

In these six sessions, we will explore biblical and tangible ways that parents—couples, single parents, blended families and grandparents—can build a legacy of faith for their children.

Each Bible study session includes interviews with everyday parents talking about their own doubts, fears and desires. Gary Thomas, Matt Chandler, and Kurt and Olivia Bruner provide powerful teaching that will help you give your kids what they need to build a solid framework for lifelong faith.

Six video-driven sessions:
Session 1 - Faith: It Starts At Home (38 min.)

Join Matt Chandler, Teaching Pastor of The Village Church in Dallas, TX, as he walks us through this most intimate of all Paul's letters and paints a beautiful picture of what it is to be a mature Christian.

The story begins in Philippi where Paul introduces three individuals that were all enslaved by the kind of things that we often choose over the gospel: Lydia, the Business Executive, The Little Slave Girl, and The Hard Working Jailer.

Their lives portray dysfunction and emptiness, but are totally transformed by the Gospel. True joy and Christ's love begin to live within them, giving them a life of purpose. In fact, Paul himself was enslaved and then by God's grace and mercy he could pen these popular and profound words: To Live is Christ and to Die is Gain. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Whatever it is you fill the 9–5 with—planting crops, building cars, taking care of patients, teaching students, running a business—work is where we spend most of our waking hours.
We often forget to connect our faith to our work. We don't consider the reasons God may have us at our job. We don't think about the purpose and meaning we could bring to our work. We simply focus on how it makes us feel.
But what if we saw our work as an opportunity to worship?
In these three inspiring video Bible study sessions, you will discover your mission is in the marketplace. Around the conference table, around the water cooler, or around the cubicle, you have an opportunity to worship the God who created you.
