Workmatters was founded in April 2002 at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, Ark., as an outreach to its own members and Northwest Arkansas. Within 18 months, Workmatters had attracted the interest, enthusiasm and involvement of people across Northwest Arkansas. Therefore, in October 2003, Central released Workmatters to become a non-denominational, incorporated 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. At the same time, Workmatters founding Board member David Roth followed his deep passion for faith at work to lead Workmatters, leaving his position as VP, Sales & Marketing at J.B. Hunt Transport Service. David has served as the President and directional leader for over 10 years, leading Workmatters in its meaningful growth. A passionate and talented team committed to serving God and the marketplace has joined David in closing the gap between faith and work.
